"What is this" You ask? Despite first appearances, it is Not the incoherent prosletyzing of a stay-at-home mom who's had too much wine while making dinner (that's an even less coherent string of syllabic goo). Alas, those with small children will quickly recognize the structural core of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star."
When Andrew began singing it last Saturday, Sue Ann thought she recognized swatches of the melody: "Is he . . . . Naaaah, wishful thinking on my part." But the next day, he sang it repeatedly until Sue Ann was sure he was singing Twinkle Twinkle. Both Mommy and Daddy were elated. Furthermore, since Sue Ann started the week-long task of posting this blog, Andrew has also begun singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" with equal amounts of those heartwarming Toddler-isms.
While Andrew has discovered how to sing, Sarah has discovered her hands. The other day, Sue Ann turned around to see her cross-eyed and bewildered as she stared at her hand, which was about 2 inches from her face. Sue Ann slowly moved her hand away from her face until her eyes uncrossed, but she still seemed confused by the whole situation.
