I'll Stay Here
took Andrew to St. Mark's again this morning so we could observe the dual-language classroom. I wasn't sure whether he'd like it but he said, "Mom. You go talk to the ladies in the office with the desks. I'll stay here." So, thumbs up on Espanol, it seems.

LeAnne Stevenson Torzala It's a great school! My kids loved it and when we moved here Kaitlyn skipped kindergarten and in the top of her class in 1st grade. Brandon was in a shell and really came out from being there and made good friends. He'll love it! Good luck!

Princess Crackers
I accidentally bought Disney Princess graham cracker cookies instead of the Lightening McQueen variety. (gasp!) I keep sending them to school in hopes that Andrew will eat them, but they keep coming home in his lunch box. Today I handed him a little bowl of them and he excitedly left the room. Ah, Success! Nope. He immediately returned, handed them to me, and flatly said "these are princess cookies."

Your nose cells, even your poop is male. Cookies can't make you a princess. (Only hormone treatments - well you might leave that part till later). It doesn't help of course, but it makes ME feel better.

Rotating Toys
likes the idea of "rotating toys" but hates the reality of it. I've had enough of the toy maintenance: the intention to do it, the guilt about not doing it, and the resulting chaos when I give up on it altogether. I think other peoples' children are about to inherit some new-ish toys.

Defiance
is dealing with an openly defiant child. No, no--not the 3-year-old, as you might think. He's easy compared to the BABY! I'm teetering on the line, trying to decide between reading the "The PC way to deal with a toddler" books and going Old School. Toddler books win out . . . for now.
