inside out
just realized I was wearing my shirt inside-out for the second time in two weeks. (sigh) What's wrong with me?! And, more importantly, what's going to happen when I can no longer use the I'm-the-mother-of-two-small-children excuse?

Pamela Schultz You can't even use old age as an excuse. I've seen plenty of shirts on the racks in the store that are made that way.

Elaine Dittmer ummm, maybe by the time the kids stop driving you around the bend you can use 'the change' as an excuse?

cougar
This is too bad because I was really looking forward to my "Cougar" years. In all seriousness, Ladies, wear what you want as long as you want to. If people don't like it, well . . . you know the rest.

Over 35? Boy, do we have some news for you A recent survey out of Britain revealed that no one wants to see you in a miniskirt. Period.

Elaine Dittmer well I think it's when they think you're wearing 'baggy tights' with your miniskirt, and you're NOT wearing any tights at all! That would be my vote.

new lawn guy
Is amused that I am impressed by the following recommendation: "I have a lawn guy who shows up when he's supposed to, most of the time, and he's actually pretty reliable." I had heart palpitations when they guy asked if he could come over today (same day!) and look at the lawn. I didn't even know how to respond! That's never happened before. Usually, they don't even return our call.

poo poo head
could not stop laughing when A's teacher told me that Andrew bid farewell to his chapel teacher yesterday by saying, "Bye Bye, Poo-Poo Head!" (In his defense, he *loves* to talk about poop and he adores his chapel teacher. So, I think it was meant as a term of endearment.) She probably thinks I'm a bad parent but . . . Bahahaha!

Sue Ann Andrews Luckily, his teacher helped him make an apology card for her. I'm glad my kids have such good teachers-they have to learn civility and humanity from someone. :D

headache
Andrew: Dad.
Dave: (while telling me something important about work). Yea . . . blah blah . . .
Andrew: DAD! I have a headache.
Dave: What? You have a headache? Why?
Andrew: (pause, pause, pause a little more, then quietly) because you're talking.

Mother's Day
So, Andrew uses his feet to push me off of a bench he wants to sit on, and I said, "Andrew what are you doing?" He said, "It's mother's day. That means we do things that are nice." I said, "Exactly. And putting your feet on my butt and pushing me off a stool is *not* nice." He said, "Well, I was just helping you off, so I could sit." It's all in how you look at, I guess. :)
