Pitter-Patter

One cannot dismiss the heart-warming sound of the pitter-patter of little feet. Unless, of course, those feet are supposed to be confined in their crib and you know for a fact that you placed them there not more than 5 minutes ago.

Andrew finally crawled out of his crib yesterday. He's been tall enough to crawl out for several months; we were just waiting for him to realize it. So, today, we converted his bed to a toddler bed. He was reticent for about . . . 5 seconds. Then, he quickly repopulated his bed with his Elmo, his Bear and his Thomas the Tank Engine sheet and blanket--after which he immediately crawled into his bed with a book. It was very sweet.

He is, however, less fond of the new gate across his door. . .
