I was getting out of my car today, on my way to return some things to the store, when I heard a child belt out a blood-curdling scream. Alarmed, I whirled to see a mother struggling with her flailing, vociferous child. Then I remembered that I was at Toys R Us and relaxed, as this is standard operating procedure for exiting this particular store with a small child.
